- Cost

Applicant report since 2025: A new Canadian operator said exam validation and call-sign registration appeared in ISED's database within minutes after online submission. This measures the final electronic registration phase only; their paper certificate had not arrived. [13]
- Additional requirements
- Basic exam has 100 questions and requires 70%; 80% grants Basic with Honours and additional HF privileges / 100 questions, réussite à 70 %, privilèges HF supplémentaires à 80 %. [8]
