- JARDの第四級標準コースは一般26,250円、18歳以下14,150円で、無線従事者免許申請手数料2,050円を含みます。2025年10月以降、50W以下の開局申請は電子申請2,750円、書面申請4,530円です。一般受講者が電子申請する場合の合計は29,000円で、無線機や保証にかかる費用は別です。 [10]

公式の所要期間: 総務省の電波利用電子申請のFAQでは、アマチュア局専用の簡易な手続きは審査完了まで通常3〜4週間程度とされています(あくまで目安で、申請内容により変わります)。 [11]
2025年以降の申請者による報告: 2025年6月7日に電子申請でアマチュア局(移動局)を新規申請し、6月12日に審査終了、関東総合通信局で免許状を受け取りました。4営業日です(従事者免許は取得済みで、窓口受取)。 [12]

Official procedure
- Qualify as an amateur radio operator by passing a national exam or completing a JARD approved training course; a beginner can take the fourth-class standard course and its completion exam. Official procedure [7]

- The JARD fourth-class standard course is ¥26,250 for adults or ¥14,150 for ages 18 and under, including the ¥2,050 operator-certificate application. From October 2025, a new amateur station of 50 W or less costs another ¥2,750 online or ¥4,530 on paper. Thus the adult JARD-plus-online route is ¥29,000 before equipment and any guarantee charges. Official timeframe: The Ministry's electronic filing FAQ says the simplified amateur-station procedure normally takes about 3 to 4 weeks to complete review; this is only a guide and varies with the application. [11]
Applicant report since 2025: A ham filed a new amateur (mobile) station application electronically on 7 June 2025, review finished on 12 June, and the licence was collected in person at the Kanto bureau: four business days (operator certificate already held). [12]
